Pass on this one

I was very disappointed - after reading 'The Unforgiven' I expected to really enjoy anything written by Alan Lemay, but this book did not engage me - I'd say, skip this one and read 'The Unforgiven'; it is an incredible book - I could not put it down.

The short stories are almost without a plot. Most are not even worth the read and are closely linked to the term yarns.

I especially enjoyed the escapades of the character Whiskers Beck

Some of the stories were hard to follow, or left me hanging. I especially enjoyed the escapades of the character Whiskers Beck. He was always up to some sort of mischief. I laughed out loud at his follies while he was trying to fool someone else.
