About the Author
Mohankumar (Mohan) Saraswatipura works as a Database Solutions Architect at Kronsys, Inc., focusing on IBM DB2, Linux, UNIX, and Windows solutions. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Database Solutions Architect at Reckitt Benckiser Group, plc (UK) focusing on IBM Smart Analytics System 5600, Siebel, SQL Server, and SAP HANA solutions. He is an IBM Champion (2010–2015) and a DB2's Got Talent 2013 winner. Mohan has written dozens of technical papers for IBM developerWorks and IBM Data Magazine. He is an IBM Certified DB2 Advanced Database Administrator, DB2 Application Developer, and DB2 Problem Determination Master. Mohan holds a Master's of Technology (M Tech) degree in computer science and an Executive MBA (IT).�Robert (Kent) Collins, founder of Shiloh Consulting, Inc., is currently a Data Solutions Architect with BNSF Railway. Recommended read for DBAs for all levels

Probably the best certification prep book I've read, plus MORE. The authors have masterfully crafted each chapter to cover the selected topic with enough detail to keep the seasoned DBAs reading, while at the same time, not being overly technical as to scare away the novices/beginners. Each chapter ends with a set of possible test questions, which could be considered representative of the material just covered, followed by a discussion of each question and why each possible answer is either correct or not.

I love the detail

There are over 1200 pages of detail. I see now they have the Kindle version too! A SEARCH on kindle can make that much quicker. I love the detail, and the especially the examples. Also the DB2night show(TM) was a good touch for several sessions there to help folks. Great reference and have it at arms reach. Thanks for all the editors, reviewers, Kent and Mohan - what a huge effort!

I was amazed by the way authors explained the concepts

As soon as I got the book, my first impression was “BOOK IS HUGE”!!! When I looked the content, I was amazed by the way authors explained the concepts. I really like the idea of Questions and Answers section. These questions are just not limited to prepare one for the certification exam, but also holds good for job interview preparation.
I liked it so far, and now just need to read and pass the DB2 10.1 + 10.5 upgrade exam quickly.
